To get you started: A transport load of diesel is about 7300 gal. So add that to a cushion of fuel between loads, say 2-3000 and you have 10000 gal tank.

If you buy clean, fresh fuel I think it would keep. If the fuel is already old when you buy, it might not.
Also some of the bio blends might not have as long a shelf like.

Maybe rent some more ground so you can use more fuel..faster :<)

Put the tank behind a shed, out of view of the road if you can.
