How many jacka--- does it take to keep pounding me that corn will be $3 this fall so I will keep planting beans? Right now it's all about risk. Beans are the lowest risk whether or not the spread says 2.2 or 3.0. We have a huge risk with unpriced bushels that are beyond crops ins. For me that would be 33 bu between APH and 80% ins. corn yield and 9 bu on beans. Beans drop $2 it's $18. Corn drops $1 its $33 acre. We have a huge bean crop we will not lose much more and have some cusion. We have a huge corn crop we are already at or near COP.
