east central iowa | all good points but problem is always timing. if you pull the trigger to early on dumping you might miss out, on the other hand holding too long could bury you. some of the best advice for farming or any other investments is "walk when everyone else is running, and run when everyone else is walking" is now the time to walk??? maybe so, there have been a whole lot of people running out there cutting their neighbors throat, but i also thought that 2 years ago with the way land prices shot up. the cycle will turn down and it always depends on who is the best positioned when all the dust settles, some went bankrupt in the 80's and were able to keep land base together somehow and are better then ever. | |
