Subject: Not Fuel Pump

Graymont Illinois

Looks like it is electrical. Shop has had truck act up. All the dash lights went out. The mechanic thinks the computer said a ground wire at fault but not sure where. He was thinking throttle body area?

Looks like dads truck for trip.

The problem happened all at once. Any pessure on gas pedal would make truck "buck" then die. If I slowly accellerate, it would run o.k. but just barely try to speed up would make truck buck and die. Then crank and crank to get started again. Made it to Dodge dealer but when they said fuel pump I told them I just had one installed by another garage. So i called them to fix.

Dodge dealer could not start truck after I left. 2 hours later the other garage showed up to tow back. Dodge dealer said he just got in it and it started. So they drove it to other garage (ran good)  where the electrical problem is being investigated. They have had it act up several times, usually it wont start.
