Jim - I would agree with your comments about the varience in small strip plots. I would not trust a YM for short strip plots. I have been suprised at how accurate the monitor has been with rather small truck loads of crop though (250-700 bu), even doing variety comparisons. The results have been very similar to the "big picture" results. Now the moment that I make that comment, it will completely change on me this fall.
