Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND
The ones on IH,and I am sure other combines are just TEEd into the single acting header lift cylinders line. They have a needle valve with a hand wheel attached to the in/out fitting of the accumulator, that lets you adjust the shock absorber action of the accumulator. Nearly closed gives a very stiff shock absorber, nearly open makes a very soft nitrogen spring. If line pressure varies from what the combine would use, then you may have to adjust the nitrogen charge pressure up/down.
