I have picked 500 acres with a picker, cribs, grinding ear corn in a silo, and 20,000 bu pile on the ground that was ground for feed. Usually in light drizzle, husking bed wasn't a problem, corn was picking clean, shelling on the other hand was. Maybe instead of everyone trying to farm mega-acres, we should go back to something simpler.
