Subject: It should be simple, But...........

Hillsboro, AL
What you want to do should be very simple, but it is not.  We are working with our state DOT to put up a local CORS station (RTK base) right now.  This station will be broadcasting a FREE signal and we want to broadcast a signal that all receivers/brands can use.  We have the local Trimble dealer involved and the local Deere dealer.  The Deere dealer cannot find out what data protocol Deere uses and Deere also uses a proprietary radio.  We know that Deere receivers are made by NavCon(sp), but the data protocols are not accessible in the standard user interface.  If you knew how to access them, I feel confident that they could be changed to accept something like a standard CMR packet.  But Deere AMS will not even give this information to their own dealers.  For the moment, if you want Deere RTK, you are going to have to go to Deere to get it.
