Subject: RE: Liquid control ideas help?

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
We have had good success in using the Insight with PWM valves in both granular and liquid situations. Often the rig already had a Raven controller on it and the Insight was replacing the Raven controller. The Ag Leader granular and liquid nodes generally have enough electrical capability to work directly with valves. In most cases, the PWM valve is easier to plumb and results in better performance than using an electric motor type hyd control.

In many cases, the valve was OEM and already on the machine. In other cases we have installed and plumbed the hyds ourselves.

Just last week we received a 45 GPM PWM valve for a high capacity situation. According to the specs, the Insight module can handle this valve directly also.

We had another special situation that used the PWM concept on three bins. This would have overloaded the Strip Till module due to the amperage draw. The problem was solved by use of some inline boosters to "take the load" off of the Granular module. Generally the amperage draw for a single PWM valve can easily be handled by the modules.
