Argyle, MN | I just put together another system for my farm. Since the tractors were already autotrack ready, I was surprised that is was not too bad. Cost for a John Deere system if your tractor is autosteer ready is as follows:
Starfire reciever-$ 2495
Mobile Processor-$ 395
GS 1 display-------$ 895
Autotrack activation-$ 3000
Total cost for the SF1 John Deere system $6785. Exactly what I made the check out for. I think this is all that you need if your tractor is autotrack ready. I don't know what other systems cost nor know the abilities of their systems, this is what I did. I've seen used receivers (original Starfire) for sale from $1800 to $2500. I don't know much about the differences except the original receiver was SF2 ready.
