Subject: Jumping into guidance.

Amarillo, TX
We are making the move into a strip-till and automated steering operation. I have been looking at the INSIGHT monitor because of its ability to be used as a central system for guidance, record management, and liquid application. We have a John Deere RTK network in our area and I am under the idea that the Starfire iTC receiver will speak directly to the INSIGHT and the INSIGHT will speak with many different kinds of automated steering choices including Deere, Autopilot, Raven... blah... blah... blah.

That takes care of the guidance.

We want to set the strip-till rig up to apply both liquid and nh3 through a dual tube mole knife.

Can the INSIGHT control both products (liquid and nh3) while running the guidance and logging rates?
What nh3 systems should we be researching? What liquid systems should we be researching?
What other ideas other than this INSIGHT might be better or more economical?

Any other tips or thoughts would be helpful.
