I know nothing about these, and have only seen them at the farm shows. I do like the idea of selenoids to cut off sections when you overlap. What brands are good and do you have to pay a service for the satilites?? Thank you.
Before looking at any specific brand, I'd recommend doing a "survey" of your operation to identify your current needs and what you forecast as your future needs.
1. What equipment (tractors, combine, sprayer, planter, etc.) do you currently have? What do you plan to upgrade to in the future?
2. What, if any, precision technology do you currently have (i.e.- yield monitor)?
3. Any other information about your operation that may be valuable. The catch with precision technology is that it can cost substantial $$$ to change directions in the future so planning now is very important.
