Subject: RE: 15" wheat

I have a correction on the former information. Seeds per acre should have been 1,6000,000 per acre. (I guess i was thinking of beans) Reviewing my notes in the planter book, I planted a tick under 2 bu. Pioneer 25R78 seed per acre. (Kinze planter set at sprocket 17 driving 28) Thought I should increase that a little but now I wonder if I should. Ohio State says 25 seeds per ft of row. In 7.5 in rows that come to 1,866,857 seeds per acre. (Hope my figures are correct). The special plates were purchased from Homier & Son Imp. Payne Ohio (ph 419-263-2317) Kinze Agco etc. dealer. Cost about $10.00 each. Made by a guy just south of them in Ohio. The wheat was planted after beans No-till. Fertlizer bulk spread in fall and 28% N dribbled on 3X in spring. ( spray tips have 3 holes) . I plan to continue to double plant and have test strips again this fall. Sorry about the former incorrect information.
