The Pro 600 can accept signal from any receiver, as long as the communication protocol is correct. Run GPS into the 9-pin connector on the bottom of the Pro 600. Not sure what cable is required; ask your JD dealer for a serial cable for your receiver. Receiver must be configured to output NMEA at 4800 - 38400bps, Data bits = 8, Parity = None, Stop bits = 1. Hertz rate = 1hz or 5hz.
