Subject: Some more pics

Eastern Ontario

Well, went back to the spot today and took a closer look. Damage appears to be in a circle altho light damage can be observed in a cross pattern (+). While cultivating the field, I dicovered a second, smaller spot less than 100 ft away. 2 lightning strikes??? Got me thinking so I avoided to cultivate the two spots. I'm still leaning towards a lighning strike but better safe than sorry. Pulled out some beans and the roots look brown with a hint of white mold on them. Same goes for the Milkweed. The inside of the bean roots look fine (or not brown) while the milkweed stem looked brown on the outside and black on the inside. Like coal. Surrounding soybean plants have nice roots, no dicoloration.  Grass weeds seem to enjoy the gained sunlight. Not a scratch on them.

ED: No it's not the same field as the other picture. Havent had any time to contact someone to check it out yet. Will look into it on Monday. Will also try to get a sample out to get tested for SCN. Really don't want it to come back positive.
