KDD - 1/29/2008 20:42 thanks for the reply, Triple G. What operations are you using with RTK? Doing any strip till or similar accuracy ops? How often are you off the row? How quickly do your systems aquire the line after a turn? What is your setup for a base station, or are you on a network? Are you using GS original, or GS2, and how easy is it to store and transfer patterns between vehicles/operations? Are you using GS2 for sprayer control, and are there any issues? Are you using Apex, JDOffice, or some other software? Thanks! Ken

Not Triple G but we use RTK for strip till etc. Very seldom do we have to use shift track. Not even on 2 yr old rows.

Once you are halfway thru a turn you can hit the resume button and it will align itself.

Our dealer has a network of towers that covers most of our county and parts of several others around us.

We use the GS II displays and use Apex to transfer data between vehicles.

We run a JD sp sprayer with the GS II. Just got a new sprayer with the new software for the rate controller. Haven't got to run it yet.

Ran both the GS II and the original brown spraystar monitor last year.

We've had lots of issues in the past 2 years but glitches are fewer and further between now. Apex leaves a lot to be desired though. tried to set up today for an online course with JD University but it won't work with Vista. Trying to learn more on prescriptions etc.
