well just thinking out loud at this point, Lucas, what do you think of still using a 80' utility pole, but instead of pivoting down, it is set in place. and for accessibility we would use a setup similar to a flag pole rope that takes the flag up and down, but we would use a cable on pulleys that way we could drop the antenna down if there was a problem. this seems to be a better idea to me at this point.

does anyone know where to find 100' utility poles near NE Colorado?? we have a 80' pole now but another 20+ would be great. it don't seem like much till you put it in the air.

also what would a 100' piece of heliax cost for this project??

thanks for all the help Rfarm
