Subject: RE: Maybe wouldn't have mattered anyway

Southeast Colorado
I use to think that I could read the overnight info along with the morning stuff and make my selling decisions before the market opening but in the last two years everyone that I deal with takes protection one way or the other with their price. Maybe you're not talking the same thing but I know in my situation you have to make your decisions during the market being open and live with the results. Not going to help your bottom line I know but maybe helps make that decision you made easier to live with. The last couple of times I've sold grain in the morning before the market opened I was really bearish and the grain dealer made me take a 5 cent hit on my sale. I thought it wqs the right thing to do anyway but both times the market moved up a few cents by the end of the day and actually ended up costing me 8 or 9. Just remember that hind sight is always 20/20. Probably never heard that before!
