Subject: not like to grow in a desert

North End I-15
My Grandfather came to Montana from Clarence Iowa. He homesteaded here in 1910 . Tried to raise corn every year for 35 years . Finally retired and moved to the west side of the divide where corn will grow :>) His Son sold the planter and picker in 1969 when I took over the farm. I remember as a kid the few acres he would plant every year. Must have been a optimist , this is a desert most years.
We had 7 years of drought, not fun but survivable .(barely)
Hang in there fellows , discouragement will kill you faster than drought.
