Subject: Making Oats hay ?s

southeastern ohio
After 4 days of heavy storms and winds, I got one field of very tall oats now very flat. I have always combined my oats for seed and then baled straw. But i think i had better cut this for hay. I have read on here before about the best stage to cut for hay. It has headed out about 10 days ago, the seed is still milky when you pinch them. About 60% of the field is down, figured on tring to go slow with haybind ( reel pick-up style), and hopefully geting it up. Will this make decent hay at this stage? Your advice would help.

Thanks
Tim
