| We woke up this morning looking forward to the big fire works display in our home town and wondering if all the rain that was forcasted would postpone the events. Nothing more relaxing than a good rain around the 4th plus it usually guarantees a good corn crop. It sure helps make the evening much more enjoyable. Now it is 5:00 pm and no rain to speak of all day and weather bureau says it is over. About an hour ago a big boom from the direction of town. The fireworks for the big display just blew all to hell. Sometimes I hate summer , its very dry, crops are stressing and now no big fireworks display. A fitting evening for the weather we are having. Oh well the family will still get together, have a nice visit , shoot off some little fireworks and be thankful for our freedoms and health that we enjoy. | |
