russ ,i agree with your post . a person can run a newer round baler with a 25 year old 100 h.p. tractor on 2-3 gallons an hour. then stack hay with a old pickup or 40 year old 40 h.p. tractor .i do NEED net wrap ,the twine tie is a slow process (about 45 seconds on a deere) . most of my coustomers cant deal with a big square .they range from 20 to 150 cows and they dont have sheds. if i was doing hay like some of these big farmers id have a big square baler ,a 200h.p. mfwd in front of it ,a deere telehandler .and a pete long hood with a 550 h.p. engine . but for my hay & coustomers the round baler works better .
