Subject: field cultivator shank breakage?

I have a caseih 4300 field cultivator that had three shanks break this spring. Do other brands of field cultivators break shanks as often as this 4300 series. I previously had John Deere, then hiniker, and a previous international field cultivator and never had the serious problem of the shanks breaking as they do on this 4300 series field cultivator. I intend to try shanks from shoup and hope he uses a different manufacturer than caseih.

I found two of the shanks. Another owner of this 4300 series has the same problem I have with the shanks breaking. One of his was found by the combine and you can imagine the damage that caused to the combine threashing system.
