Subject: Re: Auto Steer Accuracy and Speed

Leesburg, Ohio
I wouldn't disagree with any of the above comments. I would say that it is possible to plant somewhat accurately in row crops with the EZsteer and WAAS by using the nudge feature, but I have only done it with the use of existing row markers. Some passes will require a nudge two or three times in one pass. Other times during the day, I can go for many passes and never have to use the nudge at all. Like the above comments said, it is NOT repeatable.

For sprayer use, I have found the EZsteer to work just fine at 9-12 mph without having to nudge. Can't say about higher speeds.

Regarding mounting on trucks, I have seen pictures posted here a year or two back where someone had made a mounting bracket to put an EZsteer in a Ford pickup by attaching a home-made bracket to the floor and dashboard, and didn't have to attach to the steering column at all.
