Subject: Maybe Do Nothing

NE CO
One year I was planning on replacing the pump before the next season, and I just did nothing for winter. Well, spring came and I wanted to go the field, so I filled with water, tested, and everything worked fine except I still had a worn out pump (seals and plastic impeller). Its a cast iron Ace belt driven pump and not too expensive. I replaced the pump later that season and since then, I've just cleaned and put the sprayer in the shed for the winter (probably for the past 4-5 years) and not had any problems. Works for me, but I do hate to give anyone else that advice.
