With the "new" anntena (the one that came with the 332) I am able to get Omnistar XP and also WAAS but when I tried Beacon I got the Wrong Antenna error message.
With the "old" antenna (the one that came with an Ag Leader Product) I was able to get Beacon and WAAS but when I tried XP, I got the Wrong Antenna error message.
In other words, I can get WAAS with either but XP on the one and Beacon on the other.
So it appears that if I want the option to change from XP to Beacon, I will need to swap antennas.
Some might ask why we would even consider using Beacon when we have a paid subscription for XP. We have certain applications where Beacon has had acceptable accuracy in the past. Some of our customers felt that Beacon was superior to WAAS or VBS and Beacon would get around the convergence time.
