NE SD | I tried to do a HTA there this morning and he said no. Will probably start offereing them again if they get some kind of break to the downside he said. I am sure the margin calls have been in the millions of $$s. Did talk me into a minimum price contract though where they I think they buy a at the money put and then sell out of money call. I think 5.20 dec put and 5.80 call. It is a 2 part deal where I have to deliver another 5000bu worth if dec gets over 5.80 on the expiration. I think this sounds like a good deal. I had to give up 10c to do it but am in the money penny for penny on anything over 5.20 futures. My floor on this deal is 4.65 cash for jan 09 delivery.
Sounds so good now that I think I should have done more. One negative is I do not get to take part in any basis narrowing.
Any opinions on this.
