| We have an STX 325 which has the HID lights. These lights really are pretty amazing. Unbelievably bright and it is nice white light which really makes things show up nice at night. This is our planter tractor and I honestly thought I could see better during the night than during daylight hours.
When we bought the STX 325 it was a Demo tractor with about 300 hours on so it wasn't our choice to order them. I know what you mean though, it does seem like ALOT of money and the lights certainly have many benefits.
I guess I would look at it this way. If you are buying this tractor and plan on keeping it for along time you might as well spend the money. Otherwise, if you trade often or are trying to scrape us every penny you can to make this deal, the HID lights could be one area where you could save the money.
For what it's worth, our 8010 combine should be arriving within the next month and it's going to have HID lights as well. | |
