Subject: outside air

Pittsburg, Kansas

Ron,

We had our air compressor mounted outside the cab when the dealer set it up on the advice of a neighbor who had it in the cab. He said he didn't change the pressure that much and with it in the cab if he unhooked the planter to do other work he had to recharge the system whenb he hooked back up. If it was mounted on the planter this would not be a problem. One thing we are going to add before next season is a toggle switch running in paralell with the pump switch and run the extra switch only into the cab. Then if we want to add a little air can toggle the switch inside the cab while going through the field. Will still have to get out of the cab if we want to let any out but with the inside switch can add a few pounds as needed in case a little leaks out over night or something. Will also have some sort of prominent light showing the pump is running so will not forget and burn the pump up or over pressure the system by forgetting it is on.
