| will cause big increases in the grocery store?
In round numbers for every $1 that hard red winter goes up, the amount in a loaf of bread goes up 1 cent. Yes just 1 cent. Yet I bet the bread companies try to pin a huge price increase on the farmer.
For corn in a box of corn flakes if corn goes up $1 the price of the corn in the box of cereal goes up about 1 cent, almost identical to the way wheat works.
Try asking Wonder or Kellogs to justify their price increases next time. They give more to the delivery man than the farmer gets.
I'll grant you the livestock industry is in a pinch, but not the other food industries although they'd like to blame the farmer and price of grain for their price gouging. | |
