South Central Kansas, Harper County | I am kind of curious as to where they get their numbers for the HRW planted acres? I know in my part of South Central Kansas I planted all the acres I could, back into wheat. That meant moving some wheat out of grain sorghum ground that I normally would have left out for one more year. Are the figures from the FSA offices, from producers certifying their planted acres? If so, perhaps many producers are like me, I normally dont certify my wheat acres until next spring, after planting some spring crops, and only make "one" trip to the Farm Service Agency. Just a thought? |
