Subject: Case 1170 clutch issues abd brake issues

Actually, the whole entire tractor is nothing but one big issue. Purchased from a guy mostly on his word. Never again. I was in a hurry but am a mechanic and realizing all his screw ups now.

Anyway, first question and most important. When letting the clutch out, sometimes the tractor will shake to a point I would consider it pretty violent. I never stayed in the clutch to see how bad it would get not good. Sometimes it will engage fine. I just confirmed all the cab mounts are solid and cranked them down tighter. I have heard that because there is solid linkage from clutch arm to pedal and cab is rubber mounted, there can be issues there. I am looking for thoughts and ideas. Good or not, this tractor HAS to be put in a field in 4 days.

Also, prev owner "mentioned" that he needed to bleed the brakes for me but was because it sat for too long...... So it sat for 1 week for me....Guess what? No brakes. Opened the bleeders at idle and let them push some air. They are FULL of air. WTF?

Anyone a Case guru by chance?
