Right now the supply of ethanol is less then the demand.   If you sell E-85 you really need to be substantially below regular unleaded to make up for the difference in mileage.  If you use the ethanol to make E-10 it is worth the price of gasoline....actually a bit more because it turns 85 octane sub-grade gasoline into 87 octane regular or 87 ocatne regular into 89 octane super.  Add in requirements for oxygenated fuel in some locals and the ethanol becomes more valuable then gasonline....if you produce ethanol you would have to be an idiot not to sell it for the highest price you can get.
