Everyone is probably getting sick of this picture: Look closely and you can see the furrow starting at the headland and heading south. Typically, I push the button and let EZ finish the turn and start driving when I'm about 12 feet off line and at something less than 10°. No way, no how can I get to the line as smoothly or quickly by driving manually. Wasn't always like that though & it did take some experimentation with antenna placement and settings on the EZ+. As it is now, I don't know how much better it could get unless someone figured out how to have the guidance sense the upcoming headland and do the complete turn. Here's another shot of another system. A little bit of jiggle in line acquisition here. I don't know enough about this system to say whether it could be further tweaked or not but I won't say it's any better than the EZ when it comes to finding and getting on the line. |
