| Have a neighbor who parked a tractor and a disc about 500 yards back off of a farily busy state hwy overnight. Next morning, the hyd cylinder was gone off the disc. However, the footprints went opposite way of the hwy - to the back of the field. They traced the footprints - thief walked all the way across two "40's" from a backroad to the equipment & back to do his thief'n. Gotta give him credit, he wasn't lazy! The cylinder was the only thing he made off with - probably because he didn't want to carry any more weight than he had to. We had gas siphoned out of a D15 Allis parked in a hayfield right across the road from our house about 20 yrs ago overnight. Also had a case full of heavy duty lightbulbs stolen out of a utility shed once. Don't know when it actually happened as we aren't in that shed all that often. However, our shop and other outbuildings are rarely locked and that thief could have robbed us blind but didn't. | |
