Assuming it hasn't done that all its life, prob. couldn't last 2000hr. that way, sounds like either intake restriction or overfueling ...local feedlot has a tub grinder w/a 3408 Cat, it will get the turbo red when the air filter is plugged. They have learned to set it up w/the engine upwind from the tub. That thing is set at 503 HP, it will eat a 4x4 bale in one minute, if it's dry hay...
