earlier ones were a lincoln, the one I purchased last summer was an Alemite (not sure of spelling) Alemite is better than the original Lincolns, but I understand the new Lincoln is better than alemite. I think CIH is featuring the new lincoln gun. I just wish all of these cordless tools had the same battery.

Mine too. Dropped it on the floor and it fell apart. Then I bought an Alemite which I really like from Shoups.

All the john deere ones i used would lose their prime alot, so i went and got a blue lincoln pistol grip, and ive been using it for a little over a year no problems at all

Don't know who makes them but I bought a couple of them a few years ago and never could get them to completely empty the grease cartridges. Bought an Alemite 14.4v and liked it so well I went back and bought two Alemite hand operated and pitched the JDs.

Just wonder if JD didn't have them made so that they wouldn't pump all the grease out so they could sell more of their high priced grease.

bought my JD and love it.. saw Almeight at husker harvest and was the same as the JD.. dad bought a lincoln about the same time, and we both agree the deere is better.. pumps faster, which i just love when greasing the corn head boxxes.. lincoln might prime easier, but is really not even a consideration between the two..
