Subject: RE: Whats the story on ultra-low sulphur diesel?

BIL delivers new trucks from various trucks factories to dealers.

He says that it is his understanding from what he has read in various truck mags and etc, that the 2007 truck models, big trucks, will cost an extra $8K because of extra smog related stuff.

He also said the the 2009 regs are even tougher.

He thinks that when the 2007 trucks are being built, the new truck delivery business will slow down. Lots of Owner/Operators going out of business all across the country and the new truck business is very strong because no one wants the hassles connected with the 2007 models. He says the new required fuel will have less BTUs and it will require more fuel burned to do the same amount of work.

I suggest that you check on the various truck magazine websites for more info.

Considering the fuel thing, I would not want an 2007 model that I could not find the required fuel type easily in Small Town USA in the middle of the night.

Better get a 2006 model now!!!
