Eastern Iowa | We are looking for an auto-steer package for two different tractors. One of the tractors is a 946 Ford Versatile 4x4 articulating tractor. The other tractor at this time is a JD 4640 but that may be changing to a JD 7920. Right off the bat we have eliminated some options simply because we've got two tractors of two different colors. I'm sure that there are platforms developed for a 7920 but does anyone make a platform for a 946? If not, would the platform for a similar Ford 4x4 work nearly as well? We are looking for a system that supports RTK andwith steering that ties into the hydraulics, not something that mounts on the steering wheel. We do have a few contours and some gently rolling hills to deal with also. We haven't looked into too many systems in great detail yet but would like to hear what you all have tried and what your experience with it has been. We are looking for a reliable proven system. What are the pros and cons that you guys have come across with the systems you use? | |
