Besides the contamination possible from pollination, the non GMO corn won't stand up to the slightest whiff of glyphosate, so if there is any drift the non GMO corn will be turned brown.
Sometimes a mile isn't enough separation.

That is simply incorrect. My first year farming I sprayed glyphosate ten feet upwind of V-3 non-GMO corn. Basically a worst case scenario. The first two rows paled a couple weeks later, but did grow out of it. I wouldn't do that again, but it really didn't affect any corn past the first three rows and that surely got more than a whiff of glyphosate. |
