Driftless SW Wisconsin
Thud,

Our Dawn Pluribus strip till system also mixes the (dry) fertilizer thoroughly into a band about 8-10" wide, 4-5" deep with an initial mound above that. The fertilizer is not all in one concentrated slot as it is with a knife. We have different methods af applying liquid to either concentrate it in one spot of mix it.

As Greywolf points out and we have seen with some longer term customers, over a couple years of going back and forth 15" there does not appear to be any problem - it is as well spread or better than other methods. jmho.
