It was early when I wrote my first response ;-) The 3-pin connector will work fine to provide power to the lightbar (wire the loose 3-pin connector to a female cig plug, then mate the 3-pin connectors and plug in the lightbar), but the power will be switched to the keyswitch. If you want unswitched power, you'll need to run the lightbar power cord to an unswitched source. (and then don't forget to unplug it at the end of the day!)
