Ron,
I hear that it is worse south of Momence (about 15 miles east of your pictures). Ever since my experience in 1984 I have a hard time looking at other peoples hard luck. In that storm on 6-23-84 the beans were about 15" tall, after the hail the ground was completely black...no leaves, no stems, nothing, don't know where they went. Corn was head high...best corn after the hail was a stem about 2'. Replant beans made 33. My insurance paid 100%. Neighbor replanted 75 day corn (atrazine applied) and made 75 but was 28% moist. in Nov. Never collected on hail insurance since then, hope never have to. By the way no rain here in June and I am directly in between both storms.
Mike
