We've got a 24 row 15" IH 800 planter and it works awesome in no-till beans.  I've no-tilled several thousand acres of no-till beans with it (and a 5400SS before that) and never had a problem with residue flow.  I try to plant between the old rows, if I get off a little bit and get on top of the old rows I see about a day later emergence on those rows but it doesn't seem to effect the final stand any.
