Yes, mileage will go down, and yes, it will cost more, but the payback is much cleaner air coming out the stack. Is the extra clean air worth the extra cost? I would suppose that it is an opinion that each person can make for themselves. I have heard from more than one mfg that in some cities, the air coming out of the stack will be cleaner than the air going in. Hard to believe, but if true, that is some serious improvement in air quality. Even the insides of the stacks are supposed to be able to pass the white glove test, and I hear they're doing it!
