How many ways can I say it?

You can't start a JD or even a Case with a lawntractor battery, so why do people think they can run an RF transmitter on a hearing aid battery?

Basic radio fact, 1.01, to double the distance, you must square the output power.

Antenna design is an art, not a science. Tower antennas are designed to provide cutoff points. These cutoffs are not down the middle of the road, they are in the middle of a field, and gapped for more efficient reuse of less channels. Less chanels used = less equipment needed in the hut at the bottom of the tower. Less equipment means less dollars invested.
Just because you can see the tower doesn't mean that's the tower you're talking on.

Celular carriers are not in the business of providing communications. They are in the business of they are in the manure spreading business. That is WHY they have you sign a contract. Somebody please show me a contract in any industry, other than celular that requires the customer to pay to get out when the item purchased doesn't perform to expected specifications.
