I work for an Ag consulting firm, I have a background in entomology, we do IPM , fertility mgmnt etc.

We do about 1/2 processors and 1/2 hired by grower. We do a lot of work for hanover( peas, sweetcorn and limas) here on DelMarVa, also Pennsylvania food group ( used to be Cope's) and Pictsweet, also do corn for Seabrook bros in NJ.

the corn that is getting picked is all fresh market stuff started under plastic tunnels.

we do peas, spinach, potatoes, tomatoes, sweetcorn, pickles, peppers and limas for different processors, also do the normal grain crops and fresh market vegetables.... wanna talk about challenging ... try picking out a herbicide regimen for conventional beans that fits into a vegetable rotation .... driving me slowly crazy due to plant back restrictions and carryover issues.
