Tekonsha, Michigan | The shop found that the shavings were not something new, feels they were hiding in the head casting or the oil cooler and didn't get cleaned out good enough the first time. Yesterday went over to see the engine, NOT GOOD AT ALL! The brg debris has of course passed through everything, Not real bad but bad enough to replace all brgs and have crank cleaned up again. The worst part was finding that the guy did not change the liners, just new pistons. He also did not replace the rod that spun before, it was blue almost to the connecting pin, another sloppy thing we found was he had left a piece of plastic on the back of a rod brg shell, almost wiped it out! There we lots of little things wrong but pretty much have to start all over again with a new rebuild. just one expensive life lesson!
P.S. The tractor was rebuilt in May of 2003 and has a total of 450 hrs on it.
