Not to my knowledge. I've done plenty using either brand of Flow Control valve and they all work fine. He might have been talking about Hardi - they need 12 volts supplied to their Flowmeter, instead of the 5 volt supply out of the Field IQ module. Teejet and Raven flowmeters both use this 5 volts for their flowmeter.
