Freeburg, IL
Crops look good at both mapdot locations. SW IL has had a few spots of rolled corn, but nothing showing serious signs of stress that I have seen. Good rains tonite should keep things plugging along. Mid-April corn is starting to throw some tassels but no pollen shed yet. Cooler temps for the next several days should help out early pollenation and give early planted corn a big advantage. However, while there is corn planted in mid-April, there are some fields that were just planted and just replanted (as in today).
There is also everything in between. Planting delays were rather lengthy in some areas.

Corn in EC IL got a good drink today and our earliest will probably pollenate around the 8th-10th.

Here is a collage of a plot in SW IL taken yesterday.
